Advocacy and Support

Supportive Advocacy is a process of supporting and enabling people to:

  • Express their views and concerns.
  • Access information and services.
  • Defend and promote their rights and responsibilities.
  • Explore choices and options

An advocate is someone who provides guidance and support when you need it.   Inclusion Winnipeg advocates can help you access the information you need or go with you to meetings or interviews, in a supportive role. You may need our assistance to write letters, or speak for you in situations where you don’t feel able to speak for yourself.  At Inclusion Winnipeg, our experienced, dedicated advocacy staff will meet with you to discuss how we can help.  We provide assistance in areas such as:

  • Inclusive education
  • Community inclusion
  • Housing
  • Income assistance
  • Transition from school to work
  • Family support

If you or someone you care about could use our help, please contact us by email at or call 204-786-1414 to find out how we can be of service.
