Wild Winter Canoe Race

Save the Date - February 19, 2018

The Wild Winter Canoe Race is a new addition to Inclusion Winnipeg’s fundraising events and a great complement to Festival du Voyageur activities.  Launched in 2016 to huge crowds and rave reviews, the race is high energy, festive and features a theme of inclusion:  everyone belongs!   Team registration opens November 1st to a maximum of 60 teams (300 racers) who must be 18 yrs. old to be crew.

Rendez-Vous on Ice at The Forks – Junction of the Red and Assiniboine Rivers

When:

On Louis Riel Day (February 19, 2018) from 11-4PM

An exhilarating addition to the line-up of the Festival du Voyageur

What:

A race in a canoe in February!

5-person teams race canoes over a snow-packed 200-meter course.

One-of-a-kind annual event.  Cue the cheering fans!

How:

No paddles. No problem!  Totally synchronized teammates pedal one-legged foot power to glide to the finish line. This is a high octane dash!

Head to head heats.  Fastest team wins the grand prize: 5 all-inclusive Via Rail passes for 2 to Churchill and bragging rights!
