Funds raised at this year’s event will support a re-focused youth program with an emphasis on transitions. Preparing youth living with an intellectual disability for the inevitable transition to adulthood is key to their future autonomy and furthering their inclusion as valued members of our community. What better way to celebrate our history than investing in the future of our youth.

Wild Winter Canoe Race

Thank you for making this year’s Wild Winter Canoe Race a smashing success!

To our racers, thank you for choosing to spend Louis Riel Day with us and embracing Inclusion Winnipeg’s Wild Winter Canoe Race with such gusto! Your enthusiastic performance was inspiring.

To our amazing volunteers: with your help, we hosted our largest event to date and highlighted the joy of inclusion. Your determination to get the job done with a smile was absolutely the best gift.

To our many sponsors who so generously supported this race with their dollars, their products, their influence and their time, we extend our deepest appreciation. You have shown us how much business cares.

To everyone who came out to cheer, buy a raffle ticket, make a donation, or support the race, you are the boost that keeps us going and the warmth of community on a cold winter’s day.

The money you all helped raise at this year’s Wild Winter Canoe Race will be used towards the Emergency Card Project, which will provide a tool for people living with disabilities who have challenges communicating when in distress.

Together we are promoting respect, empowerment and belonging for all!
