We’re pleased to announce that we will be holding the Creative Facilitation 3-day training this spring from May 6-8th 2025 in Winnipeg Manitoba.
CREATIVE FACILITATION is a three-day training that introduces participants to the PATH and MAPS approach to person-centred service planning. Participants will be provided with an introduction to the foundations of facilitation, including listening, graphics, values and the role of circles of support. Participants will also have opportunities to practice their facilitation skills through demonstrations and small group practice.
PATH engages circles of support and the person at the centre to move between their current realities and a future of possibilities, using storytelling to create a vision of how the possibilities may be realized.
MAPS asks the person to share stories that reveal their gifts. Circle members work together with the person; to explore the ways these gifts can be embraced in the community.
In continuing to offer training that encourages the facilitation of person-centered practices we hope to build capacity Manitobans with an intellectual disability have more opportunities to live self-determined lives.
Recommended for all who live, work and play alongside those who experience the barriers of system driven support. All are welcome to attend.
