Inclusion Winnipeg is a registered charity which, for almost 60 years, has been dedicated to making life better for children, youth and adults living with intellectual disabilities and autism. We do this by connecting people, assisting their families to navigate systems and leading the way in advancing their human rights. We promote respect, empowerment and belonging to ensure equality for all.

To guide and support the organization, we strive to build a board of directors with the right blend of skills, expertise, community experience, diverse perspectives and spheres of influence. As of June 2017, we will have openings on the board. We are looking for leaders with:

  • a passion for making life better for children, youth and adults living with intellectual disabilities and autism; supporting their families and advancing their human rights and inclusion into the community;
  • a desire to make a real difference and a sense of responsibility for making things happen;
  • the ability to thoughtfully consider and take on sometimes tough issues and to work to resolution in a collaborative manner;
  • the vision to think beyond the present – to think ahead;
  • the willingness to deliver on a serious commitment to participate actively in the work of the board (board meetings, committee meetings, planning sessions, special events).
